Warwick Picnic Races moves to a NO BYO event following Racing Queensland directive.

The Warwick Turf Club announces that the 2025 Warwick Picnic Races, scheduled for Saturday, 21 June 2025, will be a NO BYO event following a directive from Racing Queensland.

As the last race club in Queensland to host a BYO event, we were fortunate to continue the tradition for as long as we did. However, with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations at the forefront, the risks associated with patrons bringing and serving their own alcohol have led to this necessary change. Disorderly conduct, including offensive, threatening, or violent behaviour, is a key concern when alcohol consumption is unmanaged.

While this marks the end of an era, the Warwick Turf Club is committed to delivering an amazing Picnic Races experience in 2025. Plans are being finalised for exciting food and beverage packages, ensuring racegoers can enjoy a vibrant and well-catered event.
